I know there is a long way to go still but IVF has given me the hope that I never thought I would have and also we are on our way to our dreams all coming true!
.
IVF has been the hardest journey I have had to go through in my life – but now it seems all worth it and I just pray from now, God gives us a break and that our baby can be healthy…

We offer early scans from 7 weeks of pregnancy.

If you come before this gestation it can be TOO EARLY to detect a fetal heart beat and cause you unnecessary concern.
➡️This is because the embryo is the third structure to be visualized using ultrasound in an early pregnancy!
.
➡️Around 5.5 -6 weeks gestational age the embryo appears as only a 2-3 mm focal thickening at the periphery of the yolk sac, and heart activity may still be undetectable. .
➡️This pattern is termed the “diamond ring” 💍 sign. This appearance is given by the yolk sac, which represents the “ring” and the tiny early embryo located on the outside representing the “diamond”. This is the earliest sign of embryonic development.

If you are unsure of your dates please let us know so we can try and advise you on the best time to visit x .

I had an HCG blood test today at my surgery. I spoke to the GP yesterday and asked him if I could have 2 blood tests to see how my levels were changing (hopefully increasing!) he said that they don’t usually but would do that considering my history.
Am finding the symptom spotting so exhausting and just can’t relax.

Does anyone know if it’s safe to have an ultrasound every week in early pregnancy? To calm my anxiety, I had one at 6 weeks, 7 weeks and 8 weeks. I have scans booked for 10 weeks & 12 weeks but now I want to book one at 9 weeks but I just want to make sure I’m not causing any unnecessary risks by having them so frequently? #ttc #ttclondon #ttccommunity #ttcjourney #ttcaftermiscarriage #pregnant #pregnancy #earlypregnancy #lowamh #diminishedovarianreserve #fertilityjourney

I finally decided on a new OB-Gyn doctor and have my first appointment set up with them!
This was not an easy decision for me. I did a lot of research and thought it over for several days. I decided on a doctor with many years of shining reviews and in a women’s clinic very close to my hubby’s place of work. They are also located closer to home and next to the hospital they are affiliated with (and where I’d like to have my baby).
I was subconsciously holding off on making this appointment. I am still so worried of the outcome of my next ultrasound with my RE (10 week scan). Now that I have this appointment scheduled I actually feel a ton better…it’s kind of like a figurative yell into the universe that I have faith this pregnancy WILL continue! 🙌🏻

When will my baby smile for the first time

You wanted to know when your baby is going to smile for the first time. And most babies have done this by the time they’re 6 to 8 weeks of age. And it is so rewarding, and fun, and exciting when your baby smiles at you for the first time, and when they begin laughing and responding to you. They can actually tell that your voice is your voice by the time they’re 1 month of age. If they’re in the same room with you, but not being held by you, and they hear you, their little head may turn, because they recognize you as you. Babies actually come primed to socialize with us. They love it. They would much rather see your face and hear your voice than see an object or hear any other noise. And the more you interact socially with them, the better they’re going to be at interacting with you and likely, the sooner you’re going to see it happen.

We all get that funny, silly, high-pitched voice when we’re talking to babies (some people call it baby talk) and there’s a reason for that. Babies are really into that. They’re really into facial expressions and fluctuations in our voice. And even though they can’t talk, you should talk to them and give them a second to respond back. It’s not going to be words in the beginning. They may just look at you and have a blank stare, but eventually, they’ll smile at you. And as they get older, they’ll begin cooing, and coos will turn into actual language. They also love to mimic you, so if you stick out your tongue, they’re going to try to stick their tongue out, or if you open your mouth wide, they’re going to do the same thing. They are just soaking in everything around them, including interactions that you have with them, and that teaches them how to interact with you and others.

All babies do develop at slightly different rates, and so if you ever have concerns about your baby’s development, whether the milestones that you’re concerned about are physical, cognitive, social, whatever they might be, talk with your pediatrician. And after asking more specific questions and interacting with your baby one on one, they’ll be able to give you tailored information and advice. If you have more questions in the future for me, feel free to ask them at Intermountain Moms on either our Facebook or Instagram pages, and recommend us to your friends and family too.
