Update: So I haven’t posted in a little while as I’ve been waiting to see what would happen (prone to early miscarriage skepticism and figure this one was going the same way). We had a scan once back from our holiday and I was shocked, relieved, overjoyed to see a tiny sac, fetal pole and a heartbeat 💗 I am still very early at 6w+5d but this is the furtherest we have ever got and the most we have ever seen.

I’m trying very hard to not let my excitement and idealism take over the shop but at the same time hold on to some positive thoughts too!

Here’s to more waiting, hoping, wishing and holding on tight ❤️

BEcause I’m not happy neither am I cool about the outlook of people about the important tests during pregnancy in our country..infact I’m ANGRY super ANGRY 😡..

Yesterday I went to my clinic where I saw a young pretty lady crying..her husband and mother-in- law consoling her. Later, I found out her first child was diagnosed with- DOWN SYNDROME..and her MIL was advicing her “DON’T WORRY it’s not end of world, GOD can’t be that CRUEL TO US..you should PLAN SECOND😳😳”..
That’s their personal choice but I wondered is this the time to plan second?? don’t you have added responsibilty of your first who needs more attention and care now.. infact at this time ypu should collect all your energies and resources to equip your special child and rehabilitate him so that he can fight his battle..

Anyways I went to her and asked her –
” Did you had your pregnancy marker tests?? Dual /triple or quad marker test? which doctors suggest in first trimester(dual) or second trimester (triple/quad)??
She looked at her MIL..
MIL said “Bus madamji aana tha isse..” Ok, fine I know these tests are not 100%guaranted but have you got yourself tested?.. and she said ” NO” because they thought – IT’S A MONEY DIGGING THING and not important🙄.. I WAS SHOCKED WE CAN GO FOR A SONOGRAPHY that too ILLEGALLY JUST TO DETERMINE THE SEX OF OUR CHILD but We can’t go for MARKER TEST’S and other Important tests to know the HEALTH STATUS OF OUR CHILD..????…. what an irony😡..

GUYS these tests are very important to detect any genetic abnormality of the foetus and are 100% safe . Please go for them..

Tested this afternoon… as I suspected negative… some part of me was clinging to hope with these body changes I’ve had and all the symptoms that it maybe meant something but it wasn’t meant to be!… Even though you suspect it’s going to be negative it still hurts to not see that second line… half of me was naive enough to think “It happened so quick the first time I’ll happen quick again!”, trying to stay positive and not let those little seeds of doubt creep in so I’ve decided to start doing ovulation strips as if my period is going to come every 24 days I’ve no clue when I’m ovulating or when I should be 🤷🏼‍♀️ at least this way I can get to know this new cycle and get back on track!… #pregnancy #earlypregnancy #earlypregnancyloss #earlypregnancylossawareness #miscarriage #missedmiscarriage #earlymiscarriage #pain #heartache #heartbreak #silentmiscarriage #miscarriagesucks #tryingtoconceive #babydance #movingforward

Ultrasound is a great tool in early pregnancy, it helps us diagnose any problems in early pregnancy after bleeding or pain.
You may have seen some ultrasound scans before and thoughts it’s just a haze of grey. 🌫🌫🌫🌫🌫🌫🌫🌫🌫🌫🌫But at 5 weeks you start to see some foetal structures that help us recognise and confirm a normal pregnancy.
The gestation sac is one of the first structures visible. This will be the sac the baby grows in. Then a yolk sac 🍳should be visible within the gestation sac at 5 weeks pregnant.
What is a yolk sac? This is a structure that provides nutrition to the pregnancy at this stage before the placenta is fully informed.
At the end of 5 weeks approaching 6 weeks pregnant , a small line on the scan is seen and this is the embryo.
At 6-7 weeks we start to see a flicker and that represents a heartbeat. At this point we can confirm it’s a normal early pregnancy in the uterus.
