How do I know what I can do in early pregnancy? 🏋🏼‍♀️ .

It’s a question that so many of you ask, and quite rightly. The answer depends on so many things, and that’s the hard bit … figuring out what is right for YOU! .

🔅 HOW DO YOU FEEL? Often women get hit by symptoms early on in their pregnancy that make exercise virtually impossible or at the very least unappealing. Sickness, nausea, exhaustion can push exercise down your priority list, and that’s ok. .

🔅 WHAT IS YOUR BODY USED TO? If you have spent the last few years running frequently or lifting weights then there is no reason that you need to stop, if it still feels comfortable to continue. You may find that running no longer feels good for you, in which case there’s your answer. It doesn’t mean you can’t start to exercise in your pregnancy having never done it before but start slow and my advice would be to get some in person guidance to begin with. .

🔅 HOW DOES YOUR BODY FEEL TODAY? Every day in pregnancy can feel different. It truly is a rollercoaster, where some days you might feel absolutely normal and others getting out of bed feels like hard work. Some days lunges will feel fine and others they cause you discomfort. So it is up to you to make that call … each and every day! .

⛔️ Of course there are some absolutely no no’s which I should mention, and these include activities with a high risk of falling, being fallen into or losing your balance. Hot yoga or anything where your body temperature stays very high for a long time is also out. ✅ Hiit workouts, contrary to belief, are actually ok to continue with as long as you feel ok, and are able to maintain a relatively normal conversation throughout – ie not work yourself to complete exhaustion! I would swap out the high impact exercises for others as you progress through your pregnancy to save your joints and pelvic floor, but you can still enjoy raising your heart rate! .

I have learned in the last few months just how important it is to ✨listen to your body✨ in pregnancy. If you are unsure of whether an exercise is ok to do or not, listen to what your body is telling you. It’s usually right!

На каком сроке проводить фотосессию беременности?

Одна ремарка: все очень индивидуально и сроки могут быть расхожими в зависимости от вашей физиологи, тем не менее оптимальный срок для проведения фотосессии — 26-34 недель беременности. В этот период уже хорошо видно аккуратный по форме живот. На более поздних сроках фотографироваться сложнее – быстро наступает усталость, возможны отеки, из-за которых иногда приходится вообще отказаться от съемки.

Когда лучше записываться?

Чтобы гарантированно была свободна желаемая дата у фотографа и визажиста для брони лучших часов в студии я советую записываться на фотосессию за 1 – 1,5- 2 месяца.
За это время можно также спокойно продумать образы и подготовиться к съемке в соответствии с рекомендациями, которые я стандартно направляю при подготовке к съемке ведь хороший предпродакшн – также залог успеха 😉

🔺Bleeding and/or pain in the first 3 months of pregnancy is common and does not always mean there is a problem and many women go on to have a healthy baby. However, if you experience any of these symptoms it is important you get medical help from your midwife, GP or local hospital as it may be a sign of potential pregnancy complications.
🔺There can be several causes and a healthcare professional will take a full history from you, and may recommend a speculum/vaginal examination, blood tests and/or an ultrasound scan to check on your pregnancy.
🔺If you have pain or bleeding but an ultrasound scan confirms your pregnancy is okay this is termed a Threatened Miscarriage and you will be advised to monitor your symptoms and report any changes.
🔺Sadly, sometimes pain and bleeding can be the sign of an early miscarriage. Early miscarriage can affect 1 in 4 women and in most cases it is not possible to give a reason. Most couples will go on to have a successful pregnancy in the future.
🔺Unfortunately, 1 in 90 pregnancies grow outside of the womb. This is called an ectopic pregnancy and this condition may also present with pain and/or bleeding. An ectopic pregnancy can be more serious to your health and is usually diagnosed after you have had an ultrasound scan.
🔺Sometimes, it is not possible to determine exactly what is going on at your first appointment with a healthcare professional and they may recommend repeat blood tests or ultrasound scans to monitor your progress and symptoms over a period of days or weeks.
🔺Whatever the cause you should feel able to ask questions and if you need more information the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Patient Info leaflets can be very useful.

Everyone wants to share their story to relate to others and feel valued, sharing is healing but unfortunately birth trauma is very common. Mamas, I encourage you to be very mindful of what you receive during pregnancy. If someone starts to share a horror story with you, gently ask them if they will wait until after your baby arrives. It’s ok to say you don’t want those stories in your head as you prepare to birth your baby. If it’s a stranger you will never see again remember your well being and peace of mind through pregnancy is more important than hurting someone’s feelings. Every mother deserves to tell her story in a safe space. We’ve had some things growing over here for a few weeks now! This early pregnancy time is so interesting. I don’t know if it’s because I had a chemical pregnancy the cycle before this or if everyone feels this way but I have been so worried that there is not actually anything growing in there. And spotting can be a normal part of pregnancy, especially this early, but it certainly doesn’t bring any peace of mind! Greg keeps reminding me that 1- I haven’t gotten my period 2- my hcg levels were great 3- I’m not having any painful cramps so 4- everything is probably just fine! I know he is right but it can be hard to really trust that deep down.
