Even though I’ve had two successful pregnancies, I still remember the googlemania that ensued anytime I thought I might be pregnant. Having been through two ectopic pregnancies and a miscarriage before my son and daughter arrived, the thought of “maybe this is the time” happened every month. ⁣
⁣
Here are some early pregnancy symptoms that are legit, but keep in mind, just one of them won’t always mean a positive test. Now if you’ve got a bunch of them, that’s probably a good sign. ⁣
⁣
• Missed Period. ⁣
• Nausea/Vomiting. ⁣
• Light Spotting/Bleeding/Vaginal Discharge. ⁣
• Cramping and pain. ⁣
• Sensitivity to Smell. ⁣
• Change of Appetite.⁣
• Frequent Urination. ⁣
• Constipation and Bloating.⁣
• Mood Swings/Fatigue.⁣
• Heartburn, or indigestion ⁣

Morning sickness! I remember it well 🤢

Every day this week I will post a morning sickness remedy. They may not get rid of it totally (they might though!) but they will help you deal with it. You can do this! 💪🏻 Today’s is blood sugar. Don’t let it get low, ever! That means not having an empty stomach. Eat BEFORE you get hungry so at least every 2 hours. Carry snacks with you (especially protein ones like nuts and seeds, with dried fruit if you fancy) so you don’t get caught short.

Also you can try a protein and healthy fat based snack just before bed to ensure your levels don’t get too low overnight. Yoghurt, nuts and nut butter on oatcakes are good options. Try not to eat carbs on their own as this makes your blood sugar go all over the place. Proteins and healthy fats with your carbs will help keep it stable.

We have our first pregnancy scan this Thursday 😬 I was actually really hesitant about going for an early scan even debated just waiting it but then I decided to just go because I really need the reassurance that baby is in the uterus after already having 1 ectopic 🙏🏻🙏🏻 All we can do is hope and pray

I will be 6 weeks 1 day on Thursday the nurse says there’s a possibility it might be too early still I hope we get to see our little one as I will just worry too much

[Who even are you] This afternoon when I arrived home from school pick up, Silas ran to me and shouted ‘look at me Mum, I look so handsome’. Billy had given him a sneaky haircut 💇🏼‍♂️ while I was out.

Billy walked up to give me a hug and a kiss hello and Silas jumped in between us and yelled ‘Oi she’s my woman’. We died laughing… sometimes I wonder if this boy has been here before 🤔

“When my husband and I decided we wanted to start trying for a baby, our window of opportunity was small because he was leaving for a six month deployment soon. We tried and I tested….and tested and tested. Every pregnancy test was quickly coming back negative while his ship out date came closer. Before saying goodbye, I tested again and it came back negative…again. We chose to believe it wasn’t meant to be for now and we would try again in six months. Three days later, I started exhibiting some symptoms of early pregnancy. I messaged a friend who told me to take another pregnancy test NOW! I did and this time there was no doubt, two pink lines appeared. I took three more tests to be sure and all came back positive. The next day, I gathered items to ship to my husband to tell him I was expecting our first baby. We were over the moon with excitement. He literally jumped for joy. We chose not to find out the gender of the baby and referred to our little one as Boog (short for little booger). ⠀
