The TWW is finally over and I was over the moon to see my very first BFP! My very first positive pregnancy test ever. I’m still in shock and can’t stop looking at the tests, I can’t believe it. I’ve been testing once a day, FMU, and I’m sad that my lines are not getting as dark as most of the other line progression I’ve seen, but I’m so thankful just to even get to this point, because I never thought I would even see two lines at all. I fear for a chemical pregnancy, and I feel like in my profession, too much knowledge can sometimes be hurtful deep down, because I know what can go wrong, it’s my job to be on the look out for pregnancy problems every single day, and I see problems far too often. Moving forward is terrifying. Of loss, of success, the unknown is just a nightmare and the anxiety is more real than I ever imagined. I had a small cry with Hubby to tell him my concerns, and ordered myself a beta hcg today, and so were hoping for the best but prepared for disappointment. I’m so grateful for this #TTc community because you guys are the only ones that understand the roller coaster of emotions, and I never thought I would see myself here. Thank you all for the support. Will keep you posted as my Betas come in this week. 💜

💙💙 Hit double digits today and the 1/4 way mark!! It’s the size of a prune (which I did not have to hand to photograph lol). The last few weeks have been rough. Sick to my stomach at all times of the day and so exhausted I can’t get my butt off the couch (much to the dog’s annoyance). I am hoping this will pass when I get into the second trimester. I always wanted to be one of these radiant pregnant ladies…. Instead I look like a zombie every day.

When pregnancy grows outside the uterus, it’s called ectopic pregnancy. Each woman is affected differently by an ectopic pregnancy. Some women have no symptoms, some have a few symptoms, while others have many symptoms. Most women get physical symptoms in the 6th week of pregnancy (about 2 weeks after a missed period). You may or may not be aware that you are pregnant if your periods are irregular, or if the contraception you are using has failed.
It is life threatening condition if not identified and treated timely.

Common symptoms are
Missed periods
Abdominal pain
Vaginal spotting/bleeding
Pain in tip of shoulder
Upset tummy
Dizziness/collapse

🦋Staying Positive🦋

So after a positive home pregnancy test & a positive blood test with ‘strong’ Hcg levels, it was the long wait for my viability scan at the clinic at 8 weeks & trying to make it through the Christmas season without being able to join in festivities properly & feeling like I couldn’t tell anyone my secret incase I ‘jinxed’ something. I tried to stay positive… And as scan day came round in early Jan, I had been feeling v sick, exhausted, tender breasts, the classic early pregnancy symptoms, for a few weeks. However I felt all that the last time before things went ‘wrong’ so I was extra anxious as I went for my scan… Thankfully it all went well 🙌the embryo/sack etc. was all ‘normal’ size this time & with a ‘normal’ heartbeat too, I couldn’t believe it, maybe better days could be coming for me & I savoured this positivity & happiness as I knew another wave of worry about the next scan/test would no doubt come along soon! #stayingpositive #positiveenergy #earlypregnancy #earlypregnancyscan #8weekspregnant #ivf #ttc #ttcjourney #fertilityjourney #singlemotherbychoice #ifitwaseasyeveryonewoulddoit #ifitwaseasy #letstalk
