Hey there!
My name is Kim 🙋‍♀️ I am a solo mum to a 8 year old boy (C) and a 6 year old girl (S)

I have been running solo since before miss S was born. 7ish years ago!

My dating days are done! (Thats a long story for another day) I decided I needed to go solo if I wanted my baby number 3.

So with the help of an amazing donor, here I am, 101 days from the start of my journey.
On the 100th day of this journey I got the positive that I’d been waiting so patiently for!
I am beyond thrilled and still very much still in shock!
I have yet to break the news to C and S … or anyone else for that matter… I am the worst at keeping secrets too so who wants to put bets on how long before I spill the beans? 🤣

For now, I just wanted to introduce myself and officially start posting.

Until next time,
Kim x –

Day 57

Godmother things today. Buying last bits of uniform. None of which fit properly, but because it’s a monopolised industry, I had to buy them at School and Leisure and adjust them myself, rather than being able to shop around for grey pants and skirts which actually fit her. *Sigh*

As always, though, a joy to spend time with them, and to answer their myriad random questions about life the universe and everything! E had some interesting questions about how embryos and fetuses grow and survive. She did not like the look of a 7 week embryo at all! Made me laugh.

And we got some really delicious food at The Watershed 🙂 #endschooluniformmonopolyinSA #earlypregnancy #godmotherjoys

Early Pregnancy Problems🩸🌈 .
🔸Bleeding and/or pain in the first 3 months of pregnancy is common and does not always mean there is a problem and many women go on to have a healthy baby. However, if you experience any of these symptoms it is important you get medical help from your midwife, GP or local hospital as it may be a sign of potential pregnancy complications.
🔸There can be several causes and a healthcare professional will take a full history from you, and may recommend a speculum/vaginal examination, blood tests and/or an ultrasound scan to check on your pregnancy.
🔸If you have pain or bleeding but an ultrasound scan confirms your pregnancy is okay this is termed a Threatened Miscarriage and you will be advised to monitor your symptoms and report any changes.
🔸Sadly, sometimes pain and bleeding can be the sign of an early miscarriage. Early miscarriage can affect 1 in 5 women and in most cases it is not possible to give a reason. Most couples will go on to have a successful pregnancy in the future.
🔸Unfortunately, 1 in 90 pregnancies grow outside of the womb. This is called an ectopic pregnancy and this condition may also present with pain and/or bleeding. An ectopic pregnancy can be more serious to your health and is usually diagnosed after you have had an ultrasound scan.
🔸Sometimes, it is not possible to determine exactly what is going on at your first appointment with a healthcare professional and they may recommend repeat blood tests or ultrasound scans to monitor your progress and symptoms over a period of days or weeks.
🔸Whatever the cause you should feel able to ask questions and if you need more information the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Patient Info leaflets can be very useful.

16 weeks pregnant.
Sorry I havent really been posting a lot on here recently. The truth is I never know what to write anymore. I feel guilty coming on here and maybe having a moan about how difficult I find being pregnant sometimes.
.
.
.
Truth is, infertility definetly stick with you through pregnancy. I live a lot of day in fear still, of everything that comes out of me, of everything I’m feeling. I’m about to have my 6th scan because I keep having minor spotting. They did find a slight detachment to my placenta which freaked me out a bit. .
.
I also been struggling with tiredness, and wanting to just be at home all the time. Avoiding most social situation because I dont want to be around people drinking when I’m sober (stupid I know) .
.
Anyway, as you can see from the photo I’m definetly growing a sizeable bump which is taking some getting used too.
