Well we all know I cannot keep a secret and the thought of waiting till birth to find out if we are having a girl or boy just does not appeal. With the other 3 I have always booked an early scan at 16 weeks to know the gender so I can prepare buy clothes and give them a name. But this time I’ve found @sneakpeektest which is an at home finger prick blood test that can pick up the babys gender from as early as 8 weeks. .

It was so simple to do and came with step by step instructions. I then sent it off at the post office and recieved my results in 5 days time by email. I’m so excited to share with you all soon. .

Hi! I was locked out of my account somehow but now I’m back. So I’m definitely pregnant and am now at 10 weeks. We had a 7 week scan where we saw a tiny heartbeat. Still can’t believe it. Cue up Hi-C’s Graduation because today I was officially released from my RE’s office. I meet with my OB in two weeks. It’s definitely bittersweet because the team at my RE was incredible, however, I’m happy to graduate to an OB!

Today was our 8 week scan and we were measuring right on track with a 178 heartbeat. We got to see the little gummy bear wiggle around, which was great!

.
While I’m still struggling with anxiety, working with my therapist has been really helpful. Leading up to the scan, we practiced some guided meditations that walked me through the morning of my appointment and the actual appointment, using breathing techniques to stay calm and train my brain into staying calm for the real deal. My husband and I are also facing our financial fears about childcare head on, which is heavy and scary, but I know there’s a solution.
