I’m about 10 weeks pregnant here, I’ve just had my first midwifery appointment, about to get the train to work from Margate station. Joel really wanted to take my photo here on this day, I wasn’t so keen. I felt really vulnerable for the first time in my pregnancy and overwhelmed by emotions. But looking back at this now I’m really glad he took it. This photo feels really significant to me, Margate my new home in the background, at the beginning of the end of our life as two and the start of a new life as three. Day 39 – 10.21.19
Monday 😴
Zonked Out! Got home, ate dinner, and then crashed at 6:30pm for a “nap” so I could get up to finish lessons for tomorrow but nope! I was out. And my wife is so wonderful for understanding – she cleaned up dinner and took care of furbabies the rest of the night. I shuffled upstairs around 8:30pm and stayed asleep until 5:00am. That is 10.5 hours of sleep for me and seedling-tot! .

Which I thought, okay good we needed the rest! But then I Googled how much sleep I should be getting and found that sleeping over 10 hours can cause pre-eclampsia! Ahhh! I’m sure that is if I repeatedly do it often but still, scary stuff! Goodness me! Gotta keep just the right balance to help grow our little human properly. 😉

Just got my bloodwork done!💉 Quantitative HCG and progesterone check, to get a quick peek into how far along I am. Results should show if I’m about 5 weeks or actually 9 weeks! 😲

I’ve mentioned this to a few people in DMs but we are actually questioning if my last period was in fact a period! It was much lighter than normal with zero cramps, which is the polar opposite of my usual period! So if my HCG is way above 1000 that means I’m likely further along than we thought!! 🤰

Either way, we will be finding out very soon!! ❤ Hoping my progesterone is at a healthy level too, I am so nervous!!! 🤞🏻
