5 weeks and this is what’s inside of me right now… It is tiny. Actually 1.4 mm. That IS tiny but clearly there.

So tiny that you’d think it’s not even there? This soul has connected with you long time ago. I’ve met this soul in February while meditating. It said it would come. Actually it introduced itself with the name “Benjamin”. So it said it’s a boy. My partner is still hoping for a girl but you know the deal. A healthy baby is all you need and lets see if i was right. 🤷🏽‍♀️

🧪What is a chemical pregnancy?🧪

🧪A “chemical pregnancy” is not technically a medical term, so it lacks precise definitions, but it is colloquially known term, and something I am asked about frequently.

🧪In our modern age of data, many women will take home pregnancy tests (which are much more sensitive than in the past) BEFORE their missed period. They may see a positive, or faint positive, but get their period on their normal day, or just a few days afterwards. Before these sensitive tests, a woman may may even know she was pregnant.

🧪It is called a “chemical” pregnancy, because it was only seen via picking up pregnancy hormone (beta HCG) in the urine, and not clinically via a missed period and/or ultrasound.

🧪A chemical pregnancy likely represents when egg and sperm meet one another, but fail to implant in the uterus appropriately. Many women will have chemical pregnancies and not even know it because their period may be normal or just slightly late or slightly heavier.

🧪It’s difficult to know the incidence of chemical pregnancies because they likely were never recognized before our modern era of highly sensitive home urine pregnancy tests.

12/13 dpo took a test this morning… big fat Negative 🙄…. my period is 3 days late as I’ve been having 24 day cycles since Mc … I will re test on Saturday if aunt Flow still hasn’t arrived as my first pregnancy I didn’t get a strong positive until 14/15dpo.. or is my body just getting back to 28 day cycles 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m away this weekend until Wednesday so I’m hoping that’ll take my mind off of everything! But if Flow hasn’t arrived by the time I’m back and I’m still getting a negative I’m thinking I’ll make a trip to the Dr’s to make sure everything is ok!

I had my first wallop of ‘morning sickness’ earlier. Watched a disgusting snot video on #Unilad (did anyone else see it? Absolutely awful but I couldn’t stop watching it, like some kind of horror movie!) & very nearly threw up. Took me about 20 minutes of sitting outside & deep breathing for it to pass 🤢 I’m a nurse by trade, I can deal with bodily fluids, so I’m now a bit worried about how I’m going to cope with what work throws at me over the next few months! Lol. Anyhow. My husband wanted chip shop dinner so after the nausea had passed I managed to demolish this beautiful meal!
In other news, my boobs are very sore now. I hugged my Mum earlier & winced at them getting squashed. Much friendlier mood today than yesterday so that’s a bonus! Coincidence that I’m off work?! 🤔🤔 I wonder if it’s normal to have such variable symptoms? I feel a little more tired but not as much as people keep saying they were at this stage. Estimating I’m 4+5.

For those who say it isn’t a feeling, I strongly disagree because I feel it in my soul! 🙌🏻
From the moment I found out we were pregnant, my hunger goes from 0-100 within minutes which is why it’s important to have snacks on hand; particularly when the nausea is out in full force.
