Do homemade pregnancy tests work? How do you make a homemade pregnancy test? .

My pregnant friend and I tried some out for you.
.

We tried out the following tests comparing the results with her urine and my urine:
. – Homemade pregnancy test with bleach – bleach should fizz when positive
. – Homemade pregnancy test with sugar – sugar forms clumps when positive
. – Homemade pregnancy test with soap – soap bubbles when positive
. – Homemade pregnancy test with baking soda – bubbles and froths when positive

What seemed to work (you can’t take them to be 100% accurate): The sugar test and the baking soda test.
I made a video about it on YouTube, you can find it here:Β https://youtu.be/8UOJUJi6hIQ

7 weeks 6 days.. the first time I’ve not felt nauseous πŸ₯³ I’m not complaining as I’ve not actual been sick and I’d suffer through any symptoms, I’m just so bloody grateful to actually be pregnant!
But it’s so amazing how much more productive I’m being today πŸ˜‚ I’m still feeling tired but I’m used to that! Done a few jobs around the house and now I’m enjoying abit of sun. Stay safe everyone!

I am not taking for granted that I can try to get pregnant naturally during this pandemic. ⁣⁣

I’ve read many, many stories of couples who have had fertility treatments cancelled and it is heartbreaking. I can’t even imagine. ⁣⁣

If you’re in your two week wait, feeling symptoms and waiting to take a test, or just received a negative test, remember there are people who would love to be in your position right now. It’s still hard, but perspective is important. ⁣⁣

Sending positive vibes and baby dust to all the people out there who have had their journeys paused because of COVID. ⁣⁣

This pregnancy has proven to be a crazy journey. I’m only 9 weeks and I know I’m not guaranteed a baby at the end of this so I’m sharing + soaking in every moment. Today I learned I have a subchorionic hemorrhage. What does that mean? My placenta detached partially from the uterine wall. Which would explain the complications I’ve been having! It’s so nice having answers. I feel relieved knowing it’s pretty common and typically not a huge cause for concern. Just don’t google the risks of one πŸ˜… On the bright side I’ll get to see our sweet baby every 4 weeks!
