7 weeks pregnant today! 🤰🏻
Baby is the size of a Gummy Bear!

The sickness is still hitting me hard, i am SO sensitive to all smells, and most things just make me want to hurl 🤢

I have also been told that my iron levels are low… So i am being prescribed some supplements, and will be adding iron filled foods to my diet.

G’day from Sydney! Thought I’d share a few of my pics from our adventure the other day. We hiked 6km from Coogee to Bondi beach and it was beautiful.
I’m doing my best to enjoy despite my near constant anxiety about whether my pregnancy will continue to progress or not. Today my early pregnancy symptoms of low level nausea and sore breasts have nearly disappeared, making me very worried 😫😟 I’ve made it past the date from my chemical pregnancy though just barely. Please please let this baby snuggle in tight! 🙏🏼 🤞🏼

Anyone else hate the wait between ovulation and your period? I had a bunch of symptoms and was pretty hopeful. I took a test yesterday and it was negative and I’m pretty sure I’m getting my period 😔 .

Just a quick one. I had some aches in my lower back around this time – I think due to natural softening/loosening of ligaments and whatnot as body prepares – and personally found this wheat bag, which can be heated in microwave, better for a bit of relief than a hot water bottle for putting nestled against my lower back at night and during the day. Thank you to my mum who reminded me I owned this (she had given it to me ages ago for unrelated reasons!). Also, the aches did abate a few weeks after this and for most of the rest of second trimester, only returning in the third. But that story is for later!

Note – I was already getting reflux by this stage (boo! Usually worse later on – Google reflux in pregnancy to learn all about this delightful phenomenon, something else I naively didn’t realise was A Pregnancy Thing!!), so had started using a wedge pillow (bought off Amazon on a mate’s suggestion following starting to use 3 ordinary pillows) to sleep propped upright. The use of this unfortunately continued throughout; and additional pillows and whatnot were added to the mix….but that’s another story for a later date!!

Baby’s “First” Flight… inside my tummy, anyway! 😉
. . . Headed to Austin, Texas for an awesome National Social Studies Conference. And I’m traveling with fun people. All the anticipation and excitement is helping preoccupy my worried brain a teeny tiny bit. Hehe. I just worry about our little seedling with some strange bizarre happening or variable that affects him somehow… I know, stay positive! 😋
I actually feel really good! So, I shall continue to stay that way (she says as all the horrible possibilities run through her head – lol). . . We already took one flight and are currently waiting on the plane for our connecting flight to begin. However, a half hour has now passed and we are waiting patiently. Grrr. I have a window seat finally, which is my favorite! But to get out to potty or stretch is inconvenient. Oh well, ’tis fine! It is all good. . . Ohp! We are ready to roll. Yay! Patience wins. 11:00pm – it is gonna be a late night and early morning. We got this! I’m grateful for transportation technology and the opportunity to go experience new places! .

The nausea is back! 🤢😭 I went a good few days without it, but its come back, with a vengeance! I am constantly feeling sick again, and this time i feel so sick that i feel like i can’t eat anything, but then feel so hungry!! 😭

Melon and cucumber is really helping me combat this sickness, im sure i will turn into a watermelon or a cucumber soon, with the amount I’m eating! 😂
