How early can I get my first scan?
Our Early Pregnancy Scan is from 8wks. This is around 6wks earlier than your traditional NHS Scan.
How long does it take ? 🕑🕢🕚🕘
The scan lasts approx 15mins
How much can you actually tell / see that early?
Well we have attached a picture to show a typical 8wk Scan. At this stage we can see the heartbeat on screen, check the fetal number and can check your date to give you estimated gestation.
What is included in the Scan ? ➕
As well as seeing your baby for the first time we also provide you with printed pictures of your baby to take Home and keep
Do you check baby during the Scan? ♥️ During any Scan our Sonographer will check the heartbeat, growth etc to make sure baby is growing at the correct rate for this stage of Pregnancy however we would encourage you to visit your midwife if you have any concerns.
Do you offer any additional services / add ons with the Early Pregnancy Scan ?
Yes. We currently offer the option to purchase a memory stick with your images on it for £10. You can then bring to any future scans and we can add your images on to it 💜

Alright, everyone! How about some real talk?!
Pregnancy constipation is real, and it’s no fun! 💩
The main culprit is yet again a hormone your body produces during pregnancy…. *drumroll please* 🥁 you guessed it, PROGESTERONE!
Increase in this hormone causes a lot of different pregnancy problems and includes the crazy fun times you’re having in the bathroom. 🚽
Basically, progesterone causes all the smooth muscles in your body to relax, including your intestines. This means that stuff moves slower through your system and more water is absorbed along the way, making your stool harder. 🧻🧻🧻
Other causes of constipation is pressure on your bowels from your growing uterus, lack of fluid in your diet and iron in prenatal vitamins.💊
It seems about 3 out of 4 women suffer from this issue during pregnancy.
But what can you do to ease the suffering?
🧻Eat more fibre.
Get it from fresh fruits, vegetables, bean, peas, lentils, prunes etc.
🧻Stay hydrated.
More fluid in your system makes your stool softer and easier to pass. Try to double your water intake if you can!
🧻Eat smaller meals.
This will allow the stomach to digest food without working overtime and it can transfer food to bowels more smoothly.
🧻Exercise!
Regular physical activity really helps to reduce constipation. Get the OK from your provider and try to move your body at least 20-30 minutes a day 3-4 days a week! It doesn’t have to be complicated. Find an activity that you love and try to fit it into your routine. Walking and yoga are great for pregnant ladies.
Ask your health care provider about stool softeners if all else fails.👩⚕️
