I got confirmed this morning at the women’s clinic. My blood pressure was elevated two out of three readings. Due to that combined with my history, they’re considering me high risk and transferring me to the OBGYN clinic at the hospital for all of my prenatal care. Where I live, you’re seen at the women’s clinic the first and second trimester, and then transferred to OBGYN.
I’m not concerned about my blood pressure as I was nervous prior to the doctor taking it. I am totally ok with being seen at the hospital though! They were wonderful to me during our first loss.
I feel like a can somewhat relax a little. I am still anxious, but there’s no use in fretting over a situation that is out of my control. I am truly hoping this is our rainbow 🌈

Can a woman still get pregnant after having cryosurgery
You wanted to know if it’s harder to get pregnant after having your cervix frozen. And this procedure is called cryosurgery, and it’s very similar to having a wart frozen off of your skin (if you’ve ever had that done), but it’s done on the cervix, and so you have a spot that’s more prone to scarring. And when this does happen, it’s called cervical stenosis. It happens 1% of the time, and it can make it more difficult for women to get pregnant, so I suggest talking with your doctor. And based on their knowledge of your circumstances and history, they’ll be able to tell you if there’s any implications for you when it comes to getting pregnant. Good luck with everything, and if you have more questions in the future for me, feel free to ask them on our Intermountain Moms Facebook and Instagram pages, and recommend us to your friends and family too.

What did you first notice or rather did you even notice it? 🤔
.
There are so many early signs of pregnancy. And yet going about in our day to day life, we tend to miss or overlook them. Worse still, when you haven’t planned, it doesn’t even cross your mind that this body change could be an indication of a big news. .
.
I experienced breast soreness way before I noticed that my period was late. Such was the pain that I didn’t hesitate to think of the worst. So silly of me, it never occured that this symptom could lead to the “good news”. .
.
I also made a mental note to not google my symptoms as absolutely everything will make you die 😂
.
.
So what did you notice when you first conceived?

There is not one part of me that wants to wish any of this pregnancy away…not one little bit…
BUT I do miss not having to scope out the location of a toilet whenever I go somewhere. 🤢
I do miss staying awake past 8.30pm.
I do miss not gagging at the thought of completely random things like dairy, Pepsi Max (devastating) and beef 🤷🏼♀️
I do miss going for a walk to explore new places and having the energy to go to @studio_pilates ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There’s no denying that the first trimester is rough, in fact, for something so magical it can be downright awful!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
BUT this too shall pass and for most of us (apologies to those who suffer from HG) the second trimester will welcome a slight feeling of normalcy…at least for a little while and the reward certainly outweighs any of the short term suffering. ❤️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the meantime, I’ve discovered Zofran wafers are somewhat magical but go hand in hand with Pear juice (thanks for all your DMs warning me about that 🤣), that Chicken crimpy biscuits are not only delicious but can actually help with nausea, that nothing that great happens after 8.30pm anyway and that if McDonalds chips are the only thing you can stomach…eat the damn chips; it’s a survival mechanism and you can cram the veggies in later 🍟🍟

What’s your advice for getting through the first trimester? 🙃 x

One month has come and gone, and not a single day has gone by where I don’t wonder how I’d be feeling, how my body would be changing and growing with you. I still can’t help but think of names I like. I feel like I was robbed of my purpose and fulfillment. I hope one day that overwhelming joy and excitement returns. My angel baby, a soul too beautiful for this earth. 🖤 #angelbaby #grief #coping #loss #earlypregnancy #baby

P O S I T I V E T E S T
So, you’ve had a positive pregnancy test (Congratulations! 🎉) but what happens next?
The first step is to inform your GP surgery, so you can make an appointment to see the community midwife and begin your antenatal care. It’s important that you see a midwife before you’re 10 weeks pregnant, so if you think you might be more pregnant than that, you need to see the GP/midwife ASAP so they can refer you for an urgent scan at the hospital.
Some GP surgeries like to see you before you see the midwife to confirm your pregnancy (essentially by performing another pregnancy test). The appointment with the midwife is called a booking appointment and usually lasts around an hour. The community midwife will ask lots of questions about you/your partner/previous pregnancies/your general health/etc to help guide a pathway for the rest of your pregnancy and any additional tests/support you may need. She will also give you advice about the pregnancy and talk to you about screening tests you may be offered during the pregnancy. She will also discuss your options about WHERE you can choose to give birth.
After this appointment she will then make a referral to the hospital to arrange your scan and ‘book your pregnancy’. You will usually be notified through the post about when your scan will take place and what it might involve. You can usually take one person into the scan with you… #TheBirthingBible #whattoexpectwhenyoureexpecting #birth #birthadvice #birthtips #labour #childbirth #pregnant #pregnancy #Impregnant #earlypregnancy #positivepregnancytest #midwife #communitymidwife #bookingappointment

• Follicle Scan •
We didn’t get the best news today, and it’s difficult not to get disappointed because it feels like round one all over again.
So, I only have one follicle at a decent size, and a “cluster” of follicles around 10mm.
I have to continue on the nasal spray, four times a day, and keep going with the gonal-f at the same dose as this “should” help the smaller follicles catch up by Monday, when we go for a repeat scan.
I am also showing signs of OHSS, which I suspected but I’ve just been told to keep hydrated and hopefully things don’t get worse.
I’m trying not to let things get to me, but obviously it’s difficult.
It’s going to be a long weekend waiting to Monday, but I just have to pray that my follicles keep growing 🤞🏻💞
