REPOST: Part Five 🎀 My journey to become a mum. ________ Everything was suddenly very real and extremely exciting but unfortunately it was followed by more stress! After announcing our journey to the world, I had no choice but to tell my boss at a local restaurant where I worked as a waitress/barista in the day, cocktail waitress and serving drinks at night. This went very differently to how I expected when my hours were cut dramatically, followed by being removed from our rota system, and finally fired. I was still on the last bit of my probation period, however I had been told how well I was doing, and when I told them about Esmae, I was promised that I wouldn't lose my job. However, I was completely cut out and only told that my work standards were low and that I had been warned several times before(100% untrue!). I decided not to just let this go as I had been trained in Discrimination laws... They offered me a sum in the end, two days before the court date😂 ________ Anyway! The next big date was 16 weeks, where we got to hear her heart beat for the first time... it was incredible. This was followed by 17 weeks and 5 days - we'd booked a private scan in Cornwall. ________ We arrived at @cornwallbabyskanstudio in Truro and were made to feel so welcome by amazing staff who put up with quite a while of our little one being stubborn(I had to go for a walk and come back!) to make sure that we got the best photos that we could. This is where we found out that we were having a girl, and we already had her name picked which sunk into our hearts the moment we knew what we were having. Esmae❤️ ________ We took our gender announcement photos with the help of my mum, on Gwithian Beach in Cornwall... One of my favourite places. ❤ ________ End of Part Five 🎀 _______________________________________ #firsttimemum #mum #parents #earlypregnancy #baby #pregnant #rainbowbaby #maternitydiscrimination #recurrentmiscarriage #genderannouncement #itsagirl #cornwall #cornishmum #gwithian
